Long-term Dioxin Sampling System
Long-term sampling of dioxins and furans. The MCERTS certified system represents the cutting-edge technology for dioxin sampling and fulfills all requirements of the dioxin
Product Description
The GT90 Dioxin+ is designed specifically for long-term sampling of dioxins and furans. The MCERTS certified system represents the cutting-edge technology for dioxin sampling and fulfills all requirements of the dioxin measurement standard. The system can be used in a variety of industrial processes such as waste incineration and cement production. Gasmet offers a full dioxin sampling solution package which consists of a system, lifetime service and support, documentation and training, and our expertise of over 30 years.
Specifications
Keep the process running. Reliable and easily maintained QAL1-certified pneumatic design to keep sampling running. Use our application expertise built with over 7000 analyzer installations globally.
No need to deal with condensate. The dilution method is condensate-free. No need to consider the condensate for analysis and to worry about possible damage caused by it.
Easy to Use. Operator intervention is not needed under fully automatic isokinetic sampling even under changing flue gas conditions. The damage-resistant titanium filter unit can be exchanged with no special knowledge.
One system, many uses. From PCDD/F to furans and POPs, GT90 Dioxin+ can be used for the sampling of various pollutants, both for emissions monitoring and process development.
Full picture of PCDD/F emissions. Long-term sampling runs over 8500 h/year to give a superior representation of dioxin emissions. Sampling operates under all situations, even in other-than-normal operating conditions (OTNOC).
Log-term isokinetic sampling according to EN1948-1 / TS 1948-5
Dilution method enabling easy sample handling
Designed for industrial applications, especially for waste incineration
MCERTS certified solution
Lowest dioxin and dioxin-like compound concentrations can be sampled
Sampling up to 6 weeks
Allows remote access & control of the system
Dioxin detection technology designed and built for purpose
Today, the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) and some industry-specific BREF/BAT documents require monitoring of dioxins. The GT90 Dioxin+ was specifically designed to fulfill these limits and sample even the lowest dioxin and dioxin-like compound concentrations in harsh industrial environments.
Unparalleled performance
Dioxin detection isn’t an easy task. This system has however been performance tested and validated, allowing measurements down to 0.0003 – 0.252 ng I-TEQ /m³. The system can withstand dust loads up to 150 mg/m3 and velocities up to 30 m/s without any effect on the performance. In short, this is a top-of-the-line solution.
Method for reliable dioxin sampling
The system uses the dilution method according to the EN 1948-1 standard. Thanks to the heated sample line and dilution method used, the system works free from condensation. After the sampling period ends, the dry filter unit is transported to an accredited laboratory for analysis. The dry sample is easier to transport to the laboratory and the dry sampling method is also more reliable since no condensate is formed which would need to be transported for analysis as well.
Features that take the sampling to a new level
This minimizes the need for probe unit maintenance and makes sure that no dirt will enter the system. The system can also be equipped with remote access and control, allowing e.g., remote calibrations, leak tests and data download during operation.
Low temperature for sampled dust
In flue gas, dioxins are mainly absorbed on particles but also evaporated in the gas phase. When sampling, the flue gas is cooled down with dilution air to ensure that a high portion of the gaseous dioxins is or remains absorbed on the particles. At this low temperature, no further chemical reactions (losses) or synthesis (production) are possible, making the results accurate and reliable.
GT90 Dioxin+ versions
There are two versions available, Standard and Compact. The Standard version has two probes, which is especially good for stacks with large diameters. The Compact version has one probe and is more suitable for stacks with smaller diameters. Both are MCERTS certified, providing high-quality measurements.
GT90 Dioxin+ system overview
The system consists of a heated sampling probe unit, heated line and control cabinet. The system has titanium probe tubes and cartridges as a standard. For very harsh measuring point conditions we can optionally provide titanium heat exchanger and sampling probe unit valves: In this case, all materials in contact with the sample gas from the tip of the probe tube to the cartridge would be titanium.
